About the event
What?
SÄKU welcomes you to start off 2026 with a webinar built around the foundations of Teemu Reiman’s brand new book “Safety in Complex Organizations - A Cultural Approach”!
Teemu’s book was released in November 2025 and explores how understanding organizations as cultures can improve safety management.
It presents a practical, theory-based framework for analyzing and developing safety culture in complex, high-risk environments. The book introduces key concepts, tools, and methods for assessing and shaping organizational culture, drawing on over 20 years of Teemu’s experience in different industrial sectors. It includes real-world examples from sectors such as nuclear, healthcare, construction, and transportation. Readers gain insights into resilience, complexity, leadership, and psychological safety.
At this SÄKU exclusive webinar, Teemu will give us a tailored presentation of the cornerstones of his book – made for professionals across safety-critical industries seeking to deepen their understanding of cultural influences on safety.
The webinar will be held in English and be recorded and later published at the SÄKU Member Page. As always, you as participants will have the chance to ask your questions live.
For this event, SÄKU is happy to also invite members for free from the Finnish health and safety association Finnsafe!
Warm welcome and hope to see you there!
