About the event

What?

In 2022, SÄKU arranged a much well received webinar with Dr David Proven, the (among other things) co-host of the Safey of Work podcast.

On 25 March 2026, SÄKU is happy to arrange an exciting and thought provoking webinar with David’s co-host on the show: Dr Drew Rae!

Much of Drew Rae’s work explores the myths, routines and unhelpful habits that shape how managers and safety practitioners approach safety — and how these practices ultimately affect frontline operations.

In this webinar, Drew will distill key insights from his research into a clear, practical session for today’s safety professionals, by asking the question: How can safety professionals make sure they are managing the safety of work rather than the anxiety of executives?

Together, we’ll explore what we currently spend our time on, what the scientific evidence says about the impact of those efforts, and how we can better focus our resources to achieve the outcomes we actually care about.

The webinar is structured in three parts: the first may challenge some of your assumptions, the second will deepen your understanding and spark new curiosity, and the final section will offer concrete takeaways you can apply in your own safety work.

The webinar will be held in English and be recorded and later published at the SÄKU Member Page. As always, you as participants will have the chance to ask your questions live.

Warm welcome and hope to see you there!
