About the event
What?
IPS (Swedish Process Safety Association) and SÄKU (The Swedish Safety Culture Network) are happy to arrange an exclusive digital workshop tutored by the well-renowned French safety researcher Jean-Christophe Le Coze!
Read more by clicking on "More info" below.
This 3-hour workshop will be based on the topic of "safety as strategy", that Jean-Christophe touched upon during his webinar on Post Normal Accidents, held on May 3. Prior to the workshop the participants will be asked to read a case study (16 pages, 5000 words document) which presents a broad (multilevel) approach of a plant with safety problems. The participants will also be asked to read a one page article entitled "Safety's best kept secret".
The reading of these articles will hopefully trigger some thoughts and lived experience of the participants joining, that will be shared and talked through during the workshop among all attendees.
The workshop is limited to 20 participants from SÄKU and IPS. First come, first served…
All participants are expected to be active and able to share and contribute in an open workshop atomosphere.
The structure of the workshop will be as follows:
- Introduction of the workshop
- Introduction of participants
- Core question of the workshop
- Breaking down of participants into groups on the core question of the workshop based on the two articles and experience of participants
- Groups’ feedbacks
- Perspectives on ‘safety as strategy’ based on inputs of groups and theory
- Conclusion of the workshop
The event will be held in English.
Warm welcome and hope to see you there!
